Nord-Lock® is a pair of washers with a wedge-locking action which is a unique method using tension instead of friction. The rise of the cams between the Nord-Lock® washers is greater than the pitch of the bolt. In addition, there are radial teeth on the opposite side. The washers are installed in pairs, cam face to cam face.

Nord-Lock® standard steel washers are zinc flake coated with Delta Protekt®. The coating process is performed at the Nord-Lock® factory and includes base coat (KL100) and top coat (VH302GZ).

Nord-Lock® washers with large outer diameter (sp) in combination with flanged nuts / bolts are recommended for use on large / long holes, painted surfaces or soft materials, e.g. aluminium.
